Global Grant Scholarship

A partnership is developed between the district or club in the study location (host sponsor) and the district or club in the student’s home country (international sponsor).  Both sponsors must be qualified by Rotary International to offer the grant (see below).

Purpose

Develop future leaders in the following fields through graduate-level coursework or research
  • Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Community economic development
  • Environment

Eligibility:

Previous work or volunteer experience, academic program, and career plans that are aligned with one of the areas of focus above
Strong commitment to measurable, sustainable change in one of the areas of focus

Qualification:

District level: The District Governor, Governor-Elect, and Rotary Foundation Chair should:
  • Read the district qualification MOU in the Grant Center, answer a series of questions, and agree to the conditions of the MOU
  • Conduct grant management seminars for clubs
Club level:  The club President and President-Elect must:
  • Agree to the club qualification MOU
  • Complete the grant management seminar training
  • Complete any additional steps that the district requires
