District 5610 Simplified Grants Program
Fiscal Year 2006-2007
Terms and Conditions
Date: September 27, 2006
The District 5610 District Simplified Grant (DSG) Program includes District 5610 funds and The Rotary Foundation (TRF) District Simplified Grants (DSG) funds.
Awards of grants will be based on rating guidelines that include:
- A Club's past Rotary Foundation giving.
- Fulfilling the intent and spirit of TRF Humanitarian Grant Terms and Conditions.
- Amount of local funds provided to match the amount of grant funds received. 100% matching grant applications would rate higher than less than 100%.
Applications are due by December 31, 2006
Minimum Grant Amount: $ 500
Maximum Grant Amount: $ 6,300
Total Funds Available: $ 12,300
By accepting a DSG a Club must agree to TRF Trustee Requirements.
District Simplified Grant Criteria
DSG support the service activities or humanitarian endeavors of Districts. Each project the grant supports must comply with all TRF Humanitarian Grant Policies and Guidelines - http://www.rotary.org/newsroom/downloadcenter/pdfs/dsg_terms_en.pdf .
DSG require the direct involvement of Rotarians who will conduct the following:
A. Assessment of community needs and development of a project plan;
B. Oversight of grant funds;
C. Involvement in the implementation of projects;
D. Provision of evidence of community involvement and ownership;
E. Organization of meetings with local service providers, local officials, and/or recipients; and
F. Promotion of projects in the local media.
