District Treasurer

George is a partner in the Black Hills Animal Hospital in Rapid City, SD. He was raised on a farm north of Sisseton, SD and attended SDSU before getting is DVM degree from the University of Minnesota. He served in the Army after college and before returning to South Dakota. He moved to Rapid City in 1972 and has operated the animal hospital ever since. George married Shari West (also a Rotarian) in 1989 and is a charter member of the Rapid City Rushmore Club. George has served the District well, as our District Governor in 1996-97, as the District's Foundation Chair for the past several years, and now serves as our District Treasurer.
