Rotary District 5610 has made a profound impact across the globe by supporting Rotary District 3120 in India with a $6,000 global grant for cataract surgeries. This initiative aims to restore vision and improve the quality of life for individuals in underserved communities.

According to Past District Governor (PDG) Pramod Kumar, an Emergency Pediatric Doctor, "Our Global Grant Project of 500 Cataract Eye Surgeries started on July 23, 2024. By November 20, 2024, we had conducted 367 surgeries at United Medicity Jhalwa Prayagraj."

This noble project ensures not only the provision of surgeries but also attentive care for the patients. After completing 100 surgeries, payments for the procedures commenced. PDG Kumar emphasized the importance of comprehensive care, stating, "The innocent villagers and people around are treated carefully. Post-surgery, proper care is being taken. Patients receive fruits, meals four times a day, milk products, and glucose biscuits during their admission period to ensure a healthy recovery."

The partnership between District 5610 and District 3120 exemplifies Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self. By addressing preventable blindness, this initiative uplifts individuals and communities, fostering hope and better opportunities for the future.
