The District Governor Award for Rotarian of the Quarter is presented to Carmen Hansen she is a Rotarian who has gone above and beyond and has proven to be extraordinary in her service above self. This is a new award this Rotary year that will serve to honor one individual each quarter who has exhibited these attributes. Congratulations Carmen!
Carmen Hansen has been District 5610 Membership Chair since 2016, past President of Rapid City Rushmore Rotary Club and has been a member of Rotary since 2007. She grew up in South Dakota and has lived in Aberdeen, Mitchell, Yankton, Winner and Cherokee, Iowa. Carmen and Gary Hansen have two children, five grandchildren and enjoy golfing and traveling. Gary and Carmen also traveled extensively early in their marriage, living in Japan, when Gary was in the Navy. Her passion is supporting families and students, which is why she joined Rotary. Prior to retirement, Carmen was Program Officer for a private foundation.
