Service Above Self was on full display as members of the Rotary Club of Sioux Falls-West teamed up with volunteers from Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for children in the community who currently do not have a bed of their own.

During the build event, Rotarians rolled up their sleeves and worked alongside fellow volunteers to cut, sand, assemble, and finish bed frames. By the end of the day, their teamwork and dedication resulted in the construction of 24 beds that will soon be delivered to children and families in need.

The mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is simple but powerful: No kid sleeps on the floor in our town. Through partnerships like this, that mission becomes a reality for more families.

This hands-on service project reflects the heart of Rotary—neighbors coming together to make a meaningful difference in their community. Because of the time, teamwork, and servant hearts of these volunteers, 24 children will soon have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

And that is truly something worth celebrating.
